InGame Esports (IGE) signed a Corporate Mediation pledge that was facilitated by the International Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (IADRC), under the supervision of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law and Practice (ICLP). Signed on the 4th of August at the Sales Gallery of Port City Colombo, the pledge served as a foundation for enabling a mediation-first business environment at IGE, with stakeholders both existing and prospective.
As Esports gains momentum the world over, IGE, as an Esports enabler across multiple countries, understands the importance of fostering a business environment that encourages open, constructive dialogue for resolving disputes. From promoting global video game titles to liaising with Esports teams across South Asia, Africa and the CIS region, IGE’s international footprint attracts gamers, Esports athletes, creators, sponsors, and a variety of partnerships from around the globe.
These stakeholders, in addition to binding agreements, need more to trust a trajectory that leads to long and fruitful partnerships. A pledge that prioritises on mediation over litigation serves just that; a business framework by InGame Esports that delivers the confidence stakeholders deserve, to express concerns, partake in constructive discussions and meet a peaceful resolution, in the likelihood of conflict.
While improved trust, thanks to a mediation-oriented business framework, leads to stronger partnerships, it is also more cost-effective for all parties involved. Without expensive legal intervention and complex lawsuits, all parties, through careful arbitration and mediation, are delivered a mutually beneficial solution under the rules and regulations of the IADRC.
With arbitrators and mediators internationally trained at the Ciarb UK and the Singapore International Mediation Centre, the IADRC is an authorised body for conducting official mediation sessions, mediation rules and governance, as well as arbitrator and mediator training.
